Description

This unit presents the psychological aspects of care for mental health difficulties, and introduces students to clinical psychology as a profession. A wide range of clinical topics will be considered, with a focus being those on which research is being conducted within the Department. The teaching will be led by research clinical psychologists working in the Department and will concentrate on how therapeutic interventions can be used to alleviate emotional and developmental difficulties. This module will show how psychological understandings of mental health difficulties can be used to benefit theory, practice and the psychological health of the public.
